NEW AQUARIUM PLANTS HAVE SKINNY WHITE WORM IN WITH THEM?

Ok so i just got back the the LFS and got myself 5 new gups and 2 new plants but i'm not game enough to put them in the tank because the plants have these little white worms wriggling in with them and i don't want to hurt my fish if they are dangerous what should i do? if they aren't then what are they? i know i sound girly but i love dirt and all things that come with that and i'm not afraid to get my "paws" dirty but i have a massive phobia of worms they make my skin crawl and i just recently had worms so i am very scared of the appearance of worms even if they are good ones so what should i do? clean or no clean?
