How to get rid of acne scars?!?

I don't have severe acne scars or anything but I used to get really huge pimples on my nose. The ones without a head that basically hurt like a b*tch and are bright red and leave intense scars once they finally burst. (gross i know) but ya.. Now my skin is the best its been in a long time but when i put on makeup (foundation) you can see the bumpy scar and it bugs the hell out of me. Any tips for getting rid of this or even hiding it!?
